libgoogle-perftools4-dbg software package provides libraries for CPU and heap analysis, plus an efficient thread-caching malloc, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgoogle-perftools4-dbg
libgoogle-perftools4-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgoogle-perftools4-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgoogle-perftools4-dbg *
You will get with libgoogle-perftools4-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
